I found this site called "Lingocracy" wherein you read books in your target language and every word you read you should rate it. You can also practice it and it is also "game-like"

Very similar to Bliu Bliu, another great site which is a bit more dynamic by adjusting the content to each user's knowledge. Both sites have some problems and deficiencies though... Texts on Bliu Bliu come from Internet sources with original spelling mistakes included, at least until they are fixed by a moderator of sorts. Lingocracy replaces (for whatever reason) some of the words in the original, sometimes in a nonsensical way (e.g. "un numéro" becomes "un zéro"). Both often translate words badly as if they are not capable of reading contexts well (e.g. mistaking a verb for a noun in rather simple sentences).
Both are very useful of course, but don't take them as completely reliable.

I think this feature, the ability to add unknown vocabulary from articles to study later, should eventually be implemented in this site. It would motivate people to continue translating and studying using duolingo even after they have finished their trees.

I agree that it could work very complementary. Maybe Duolingo should consider collaborating with the people behind the website?
