First: congratulations to Duo for adding the new courses! I don't know if this is a mistake or not, but will this course only be available in 2016? Alt text

The estimation is automatically generated based on the amount of work that has been done on the course within a period of time. It'll come down once they really start to work on it. As an example, originally the English for Korean speakers course had an estimated completion date of late 2018! It's now expected to be done later this year.

Those estimated dates are veeeery random. There were some other ones as well with dates in 2016, at least yesterday.

I think we can be pretty confident that the courses will be done before 2016, but process of building them have to really get going before the estimate is anywhere near correct.

For comparison, I have been keeping an eye on the French-->Spanish course since it popped into the Incubator in late January, and the estimated completion date has moved around like the eyes of a drunk cow since then. Even now, when the course i 84 % complete, the estimated date changes daily, and with several days at a time, I guess depending on when the team has been able to do a lot of work at once and then none for a while.
