Chilotin's Mapudungun Lessons 3

List of lessons

Marimari kom pu che! / Hi everyone!

After basic sentences with no verbs, let's learn personal pronouns, the first step for learning verbal conjugation.

There are 9 personal pronouns, because Mapudugun has 3 grammatical persons, like English or Spanish, and 3 grammatical numbers, unlike English or Spanish. Besides singular and plural, there exists dual number:

iñche = I, iñchiw = we (dual), iñchiñ = we (plural)

eymi = you (singular), eymu = you (d.), eymün = you (pl.)

fey = he/she/it, fey engu = they (d.), fey engün = they (pl.)

Do you see a pattern? Make a guess in comments.

Now, make more simple sentences with personal pronouns, vocabulary from previous lesson and these new words:
chillkatufe (student), kuse (old woman), fücha (old man), kimelchefe (teacher), kawell (horse), kalkin (eagle), llusu (baby), pichi wentru (boy), pichi domo (girl).

¡Hola Chilotin!

¡Lemoria!

I'm pretty sure this guy is a fraud and that he's making all this up just to make himself feel important.
