How can I disable the option "I can't speak right now"?
So I touched the option to not to speak at the moment and it pop up an alert that it should come back in an hour but now it's been more than two hours and I can't take thespeaking lessons on my Android, but for some reason it work's on my computer. I've tryied to log out and log in, reboot my phone, uninstall the app, and all but nothing works help me!
Hi EP96, hover over your username where it appears in the blue bar at the top of the screen. A menu will drop down after a second. Click "Settings". At minimum, turn on microphone and speakers. Don't forget to click the green "Save" button up top.
So as I said the problem is not on the duolingo web site, it appear that the problems is only on the android app, everything is set up right to work but when I come to a lesson where I'm supossed to speak I can't, whenever I touch the mic icon to speak it immediately show the shows the answer as if I've tipped in the option "can't speak right now". Keep in mind that none of that applies to the pc/web version. Thanks for the reply tho
I was under the impression that the settings transfer between the two.
Here, try this:
I hope this is more helpful! :)
Sadly it isn't, I'll make a gif later to try to yall what's going on here, bc my setting are right, is just show for some reason in the middle of the exercises that my mic is deactivated, but it wasn't until this messege apear...
Ok. I'm curious what's happening. Usually, when my settings are fine but my experience isn't matching, I'll offset my settings, so turn ons to offs, save, and exit out. Then I wait a few minutes and go back and set everything the way I want it.
Also, this doesn't apply in your case, but for the sake of others who might be reading, some courses don't have speaking exercises.
Wow if this had happened to me for over a week I would just change to another app, I mean it hasn't been more than 6 hours and I have already downloaded Memrise hahah, but if that doesn't desapear I'll keep using Duolingo on the Web browser (or change it to Memrise or Babbel lol)
