Why does "Brother, study now!" not work?

Right? I think both translations are equally valid. I'm reporting it. Maybe they just forgot to add that as an option.

If they give "study" as one of the definitions of "soma", why is it unacceptable as a translation of the word???

Seems a bit strict

In the dictionaries I've checked "kusoma" means only "to read". Only in one case it translated as "studying" in a certain case. (Might be that don't have a good dictionary in Swahili). I don't know why Duolingo translates it to "study" as well. Can somebody clarify that, please?
