Streak Repair - Transaction Processed, Streak Not Repaired
I am using Duolingo on Android to learn Russian and I my streak got broken today so I paid the 2.7€ or so to repair it. My payment was processed and the money taken from my account, however immediately after Duolingo app told me that there was an error and as result my streak is still broken.
This is the second time that Duolingo has encountered an error and failed to repair my streak, even though I have paid for it. Interestingly enough, I cannot seem to find a transactions section of support...
May I suggest that you revise the way your app is processing payments? As in, ensure that it doesn't incoveniently break just after taking someone's money but before actually rendering the service...
I won't hold my breath for a 5€ cheque, but I will think twice before choosing to spend anything in the app (regardless of if it is for streak repair, ads free/support etc).
I know. It's so annoying. I kept telling it I didn't want to repair the streak and it continued to bother me. I hope they fix this.

Happened to me too. Paid the 2.39 on the Android app, got 'an error occurred'. When I opened a ticket, they said they don't process the payments and I should contact Google, who... told me to contact the app developers. Hoping a Paypal dispute will at least get the money back - have given up on the streak being repaired, but I have basically paid for a product I didn't get, so... :/
The problem with Google is that their policy dictates that for transactions like these they do not refund the money. I am not sure exactly why, but we have all agreed to it by using the platform, so don't look to Google for help.
Best we can do is choose not to buy the streak repairs in the first place, or be prepared for the possibility of losing money for nothing if we do.
