"The mood at the office was high"... I don't think the literal translation really works in English.
Does one of these match? :
- The mood at the office was tense.
- The office was in high spirits.
- There was a good atmosphere at the office.
- Everyone at the office was moody / in a bad mood.
The second one, I suppose. The third one is more in line with "Det var god stemning på kontoret", turned one notch down from the given sentence.
