Since when do lessons use up lingots?

It's only for iOS users.

Do you mean Gems?

Well, this is new! Anyone got any ideas?

No clue. All my gems are colored and I have over 2700 lingots. Just work on the program every day.

I've since used the mobile app and have seen what you're talking about. According to the Duolingo team, it's to encourage you to not binge on lessons

I can't contact them directly, but they had a post somewhere explaining the new "Health" system. I'm glad I could be a bit of help ^^
