Removal of general practice button from mobile app
I have always found the general practice button on the main page vastly more useful in language integration than the specific topic practice buttons. Having an unpredictable mix of questions drawn from all the lessons I have completed is much more useful to me than reviewing a specific topic, especially since I completed the Swedish tree some time ago and have been using the general practice to keep me fresh while waiting on Swedish 2.0.
As it stands, the app is now of no use to me and if this change is rolled out for the web version as well then Duolingo will be dropping out of my language learning toolbox. This will sadden me as I have found Duolingo to be the best language software I have ever used up to this point.
The practice feature still exists on the mobile app, just in a different form. Click on the "health" button, and you will find two options. One is to refill your health (for real money, I believe), and the other is to practice. From memory, it's a circle split into four parts with one of the parts filled in red. This circle should have a "+1" written on the inside of it.
Hope this has helped.
It does! That wasn't obvious to me at all, especially as it requires a fairly long press to get it to come up. Tack!
Unfortunately, while we appreciate the feedback we have no contact with the developers. Creating and maintaining a course is, with a few exceptions, voluntary work with little or no contact with employees of Duolingo. I'm not even sure where I'd direct your feedback - but this is likely not the best place, I'm afraid.
