Doulingo Course Icon Mockups
I decided to make some mockup icons for Duolingo courses that I'd like to see in the future. There is probably no chance of a UK English course coming into fruition, but I made the icon for fun anyways. I had to heavily simplify the Croatian flag, so sorry if it's missing any important details.
UPDATE : I fixed the spelling of Croatian, added the yellow gradient, and fixed the Gujarat flag.
Which one of the above courses would you be most excited for to learn?
Note : the number of learners displayed on the icons were mostly gathered from vote counts on various language suggestion posts. All of which, you can find gathered in the link below :
Hope you enjoy!
I'd love to see an Icelandic and Faroese course. Finding a good reliable learning resource for Faroese is relatively hard, and it would be a huge help if it were available on Duolingo.
I'd love to see your image but for some reason it's not available. Could you please reupload it?
Try exiting and revisiting the page, it should load then. I had similar complications earlier.
It looks like the image is deleted. Try loading the image in a private browser session, it won't work.
These are awesome. Just wondering, how/what programs did you use to make these? I'm really interested in design of any sort so I'm asking solely out of curiosity.
This is a really interesting mockup. Did you make the monument images as well? They look really nice. I would be most interested in learning Icelandic and Finnish (out of this picture).
Also, you have the Austrian flag for Gujarati.
What do you mean by "monument images"?
Sorry about the flag mix-up. I meant to use the Gurajat flag, but I guess I forgot to add the white section at the bottom. Thanks for pointing that out.
By "monument" I mean the pictures of the buildings above the language name. Also, I think Duolingo would use the Indian flag for all Indian languages since it's the modern flag.
Oh, yes. I drew everything from the backgrounds, the monuments, and the flags.
Lavethwolf (about ur drawing stuff) i cant reply to that for some reason so im making a new comment but thats cool!
Thanks for the compliment! What you see in my profile picture is what my art usually looks like. But occasionally I might do something different like the Duolingo mockups.
Thank you very much! By the way, do you happen to upload your art anywhere? I would like to see some of it.
No, I don't. I keep all my art offline ( excluding my profile picture ).
Wait, I forgot. I did upload my art on Khan Academy. The art there is nothing like the art I draw now. Here's a link to my account if you'd like to see. I don't really upload to it anymore.
Still not seeing it. When I click "open in a new tab" it just takes me to Google sign-up. Can you upload it to an actual image hosting site?
I don't have any other social media accounts. I'm a net hermit that only resides on Duolingo and Khan Academy. But I'll try re-uploading it once more.
I can and it looks great, thank you :) (btw, you don't need an account to upload an image on many (most?) image hosting sites, just upload it and copy the link)
Thanks for telling me, maybe I'll look into using an image hosting site in the future.
You may have to include a direct link to the image. Could you post your Imgur link here? I can find the direct link for you.
I uploaded it to Imgur and replaced the image URL in my post. But now the image is refusing to load. What could I have done wrong?
Thanks, I accidentally replaced the image source with the link to the webpage that contained the image rather than the image itself. It should be working now.
(Again the thing where i cant reply so im making a new comment) yeah that looks COMPLETELY different, also i used to use khan academy actually.(Also now i can see the images before i couldnt and they look exactly like duolingo would make it!)
Yeah, I was pretty unhappy with my art, so I decided to leave the online art community and practice my art offline. I've been experimenting with various different art styles. I think I may settle with the style in my profile picture.
Although my art style has changed, I generally still draw the same things ( furries, more furries, and some tubby furries ), and I plan on making an art account once I get a good grasp of my new style. The big art style shift was far harder than I expected.
By the way, could you give me a link to your Khan Academy account? I'd like to see it.
That's unfortunate to hear. Would you plan on uploading your art in the future?
Probably, just not right now,my art is still developing and I'm experimenting with different styles.
I guess that makes two of us. By the way, if you do begin uploading your art. Which website would you use. I'm considering using Scratch, DeviantArt, Furaffinity, or Weasyl.
Please notify me if you do happen to make an account, I'd like to see your art.
