Why doesn't work the microphone on desktop computers?
The lesson style is different on a desktop computer, you don't see the invitations to pronounce in the foreign language. In settings the microphone is enabled.
On laptops it works sometimes, sometimes not (a veces si, a veces no :)
Another proposal: during a lesson it would be good to see a label indicating the lesson name (adjectives, occupation etc).
I have the same problem. I get spoken tests in Italian on one of my computers but not on a different one on exactly the same exercise. I have no idea why - microphone settings etc are all set to 'on.
I've the same problem here! Even if my mic is enabled! Idk what's going on!
I can't hear anything on my laptop either. My volume is turned all the way up, I thought i was losing my hearing.
My problem is slightly different. I can hear the questions - but it doesn't give me speech tasks on my laptop which has a microphone and therefore would allow me to 'speak' to the computer. However, it does give me speech tasks on the netbook which has no microphone, so it can't hear my answers. It therefore fails me at every stage! I have to just use the laptop and miss out on the speech testing which I would like . I am going to get a microphone for the netbook to see if that works, but clearly the software is faulty.
I found that the browser I use makes a difference. When I use Internet Explorer on my laptop, I can't use the mic even though it is enabled. When I switch to Chrome, it always works.
Great! Thanks rahtjen - I tried that and it works. I was using Firefox on the laptop. Switching to Chrome has enabled the microphone.
