German: Duo is answering for me in spoken exercises

For most of my spoken exercises, Duo says the sentence FOR ME before I can answer. And sometimes marks itself wrong!! I might be given the chance to say it myself at most one time in a lesson. This is in the web version. It's always the female voice if that's important. This did not used to happen, maybe started two weeks ago?

Just wait a second until the woman is done with talking, else the computer takes her answer for yours. If it only grasps part of the answer it will be counted as wrong.

That's just it, she talks, and Duo instantly scores her before I can talk. If I start talking when she shuts up, the score gets done before I can say more than a word. Just to clarify. There's the first time she says the phrase. Then I click the microphone button to answer, she says the phrase again (not every time, just most times). I try to say the phrase, either speaking over her or waiting until she shuts up. But Duo is already scoring her voice and I can't even get more than a word or two out. Now, if pushing the button DOES NOT cause her to speak, I'm fine. That's the way it used to be. And that is the way (I.e., working correctly) that most lessons start out. But maybe the third speaking exercise this screwed up thing where she starts interfering with me begins. I can't refresh the page without having to restart the whole lesson. If I hobble through the lesson with all this "help", then exit to Home, when I return to practice we might have a few times where she gives me a chance to answer, but she'll be back at it after one or two times. It's very frustrating. It might sound fantastic to some, but she doesn't always mark herself right. And in the normal way these lessons work, you get a second chance. Not, not when she's "helping". She doesn't give herself (and therefore me) a second chance. No, it's marked wrong. Done.

seems to be a new "feature" of a reprogrammed Duolingo. I hope they fix it before it comes up for every platform.
