Getting help from a native speaker
First of all, I'm new to these forums so I don't know if this has been discussed yet.
I'm a native speaker Dutch and I came upon the idea to help learners through services like Whatsapp or similar apps. This could be a group or one-on-one conversations.
I did see the facebook group, but as I don't have Facebook, I couldn't check it out.
What do you all think about this idea?
Nice! There are many websites / apps that can help you do this, but in a more structured setting. Italki, Speaky and HelloTalk are among the most popular ones.
Hey, I don't know when you see this message but right now I am looking for help from someone who can speak Dutch. I made my own sentences in Dutch but I have no idea if they are correct or sound natural. Would you mind helping me?
- Ik ben vrolijk aangezien het zomer is.
- Aangezien het zomer is, ben ik vrolijk.
- Totdat het zonnig is, resteren wij hier.
Thank you so much for help! o(〃＾▽＾〃)o

I'm happy to help, that's why I posted here!
All three sentences are grammatically correct. The word "aangezien" you are using in the first and second sentence makes perfectly sense and is not wrong, but I think a native speaker would use the word "omdat". The word "resteren" in the third sentence is not a good choice. Instead, I would use the word "blijven". "Totdat het zonnig is, blijven wij hier". (I'm assuming you are trying to use the word "stay/remain" here.)
Hope I got that all correct, obviously English isn't my native tongue so make wrong word choices and grammar mistakes from time to time.
If you need any more help, I'm happy to help!
