Learning before testing?

Hi all, I must say I am rather new at Duolingo and maybe I have overseen something but what I noticed in Polish: you can learn nouns by electing a word accompanied by a foto (e.g. there is a women with the word kobieta, an apple with the word jablko and you are asked for the word for women) - but there were also some tests about words like he, she (on, ona) and I didn't find any explanation , somewhere, imho, there should be a text that says: Polish personal pronouns 3d person are on, ona for feminine and masculine - any ideas where I can find it? For Polish it is not such a big problem as I have some basic knowledge but for a language I don't know at all I will need some explanation

Do look through Jellei's very informative and useful summaries of so many Polish grammatical points.
