“Quen coas mans non pode, cos dentes acode”

Boas!

Hi! As every week, we bring you a Galician lesson, we hope that these lessons are useful to you and that you’re learning a lot. The saying this week refers to how whenever we can’t do something with our hands, for example opening a packet, before giving up we always try to open it with our mouths.

This week we’ll try to explain a topic which is a little complicated, but as you’re all very intelligent we’re sure that you’ll understand perfectly. In Galician, plurals aren’t as easy as they are in many other languages, as Galician has many grammatical rules which can be somewhat complex, but don’t worry, we won’t labour the explanation too much.

We shall try, through our vocabulary section, to make clear for you essentially how plurals are formed in Galician based on the endings of the words. We hope that this lesson isn’t too difficult for you, although explaining a grammar lesson isn’t as simple as explaining a vocabulary one.

Something that may be helpful is if you create a post indexing all of your lessons and put it on your profile page so that others can find your lessons. :)

I don't know, maybe, but I'm not seeing a lot of people commenting on multiple lessons etc, so I don't know if that would be useful to anyone.

The way it looks to me is that people are looking at these lessons, but always different people. I don't think many people are actually following the lessons and looking at all of them, and we're not making these lessons in a way that you have to read every lesson to get use out of them.

There are a number of people who have created lessons in various languages on the site. Over time, the older users know who has created lessons and can refer people to the proper person creating the lessons. That way, it's helpful if there is a post available that has an index to the lessons. The way the discussions are set up, sometimes it difficult to keep up with the various language postings (because it's hard to find things in discussions), but if you have it listed on your profile, people can see if you've added new lessons. I think you're doing a nice job. :)
