I have been going through the Russian course for over a year now, and I am currently a good ways through Level 16. I actually finished the course earlier this February. Now, I am just practicing and reviewing until everything is gold.
However, I am only at Level 16 out of 25, and with each level requiring more and more XP, I was wondering, how long does it take to reach level 25?
Another question that has been on my mind is that of how long my skills will be gold. Do all of your lessons stay gold once you reach Level 25, or do you have to be eternally practicing your Duolingo skills? If so, how often would one need to practice to keep all skills gold?
Thank you in advance.
You have to "eternally practice your Duolingo skills". You'd probably need to strengthen less often if you have strengthened them a lot through your Duolingo usage.
For level 25, you need 30,000 XP (altogether). How long it takes to reach this depends on how often you use Duolingo and how often you do the exercises on Duolingo. For example, someone who does several exercises a day is more likely to reach level 25 than someone who does several exercises a week, because the former's gaining more XP and the latter less.
Also, just know that strengthening exercises is not that important if you know the content already; after all, it's useless repeating something you already know! Unless you want to have a golden tree, you don't really have to do this. Do the other exercises that you are less sure of or don't know.
Thank you. I forgot how many XP it took to get to Level 25.
It seems as if I am about a third of the way there, so that gives me a good estimate of what I have to do. It also makes it easy to understand that, by the time I get to 30,000 XP, I would have strengthened my skills a lot.
