How do I say 'work out'?
How do I say 'to work out' in Portuguese? 'Living Language Brazilian Portuguese' tells me it's fazer ginástica but couldn't this be mistaken for gymnastics by any chance?
Are there any other ways of talking about workouts in BP?
No, fazer ginástica is not wrong, but I'd say this is an older term, maybe? Haven't heard it in a while.
You can use other colloquial forms, like: "malhar", "fazer academia" (if you mean "go to the gym"), "fazer musculação" (also probably in a gym, but not specifically), "fazer exercícios [físicos]"/"exercitar-se" (just exercising in general).
