What do think of Tinycards?

The team behind Duolingo just launched their new service called Tinycards ( https://tiny.cards ). Hence the disappearance of the "practice words" option. I like the new directions it is opening to.

Actually, it wasn't just launched. It's been available as app on iOS for probably a year now. It was launched as a website I think in March of this year, and apparently it will become available as an Android app soon. Also, the link you provided doesn't appear to be the correct link. This is it: https://tinycards.duolingo.com/.

Yes, you are right, thank you! It's now that they removed the flashcards from Duolingo and they started advertising it on the site after lessons (or maybe I had AdBlock on till today xD) That's why I thought they launched it now.

I'm pretty sure the link is right though, didn't it work for you? It redirects to the one you sent and it's the one used in their press release.

I apologize. I didn't know the link you posted was the one they used in the press release. I didn't open it, because it looked weird.

I believe the Tinycards are good practice for keeping vocabulary current, but I feel there are too many redundant sets, and while some sets are of excellent quality, others are not. I believe some (more?) editorial/managerial control needs to be applied by "the powers that be."

Or you can use it to create your own flashcard decks...
