Trdução do italiano para o português
VESTIÁRIO é o lugar onde as pessoas se vestem, abigliamento se traduz como VESTUÁRIO
Maybe i can help you: "VESTIÁRIO é o lugar onde as pessoas se vestem" -> in italian is "camerino" the place where we try the clothes that we want to buy.
abbigliamento (or vestiario) is all clothes in general.
As I see it, Odila's point is that vestiário [PT] = locker room [AmE]/changing room [BrE] = spogliatoio [IT], and the exercise shows the meaning of vestiario [IT] = vestiário [PT], when the correct translation should be vestuário (roupas, vestimenta) [PT] = clothes [EN] = abbigliamento/vestiario [IT]. And as you've already presented, camerino (di prova) = fitting room [BrE]/dressing room [AmE] = provador (de roupa) [PT].
Is that somewhat logical? I did my best trying to explain based on a small research.
Only one thing: spogliatoio is only used in the sport field (ahahah i don't know how to explain it xD) for example, you finished to play football/tennis/volley etc than you need to change yourself in a spogliatoio and not in a camerino where is only used in a clothes shop ;).
The same context for vestiário (spogliatoio) and provador (camerino) in Portuguese. I thought it would be clear with the several corresponding translations. I appreciate your help, not only this one, but all you've been doing in the Italian course. I've noticed you and your availability. That's kind of you.
Oh thank you x), i like to help others learning my language :). Unfortunately my portuguese is still basic but when it's possible, i try to write/use it xD.
