No way to switch to desktop version on new mobile website
I can see no option to switch to the full/desktop version if Duolingo in the new mobile Duolingo website.
If you google Duolingo and go to the forums you get the old website with a blue bar that had many options, including the ability to switch to the desktop version.
Why does the new mobile website not have this? Is this forthcoming or have they decided to negatively affect users by removing a convenient (and fairly standard) convention?
I can still get the desktop version of the website by clicking on the three dots in the top right corner and then choosing Request desktop site from the menu that opens. It seems to work both on Firefox and on Chrome on my Android phone.
Hi any tips for use on Iphone.? I’ve tried this on safari and on chrome and I always get reverted to the limited mobile site!
Currently it doesn't work beyond seeing discussions you're unable to see which levels you're at and the XP needed to level up. Why did they change it to this?
The smartphone version of Duolingo is way inferior to the desktop version but they refuse to change that. I now use Babbel instead.
Guys, switch to “request desktop size” and activate your screen rotation. You can see the desktop version only when your screen is horizontal. It’s works on iphone. Try it :)
Thank you! It works, just switch your screen to horizontal and reload the site (in the learning section)
Also you can click on "desktop site" in the browser settings (at least they have it in chrome)
