Hate to be critical but I'm afraid I don't like the timed exercises. It has turned what was a relaxing pleasant experience into something much more stressful. Is there any way to access the old version perhaps as an option.
On the Android app I now get a mandatory 60 second countdown when doing exercises. This is extremely annoying and stressful, and I simply can't see the point of it. Now the exercises take longer, as I have to start another one after the 60 seconds are up. Some of the exercises require one to choose between several rather long sentences, which means that you could potentially have to continue starting exercise sessions again several times in order to just get 10 points. I can't imagine having my daily requirements set at 30 or 50 points ever again. Those days are simply gone. Now I'll never want to waste more time than getting 10 points daily on exercises. I see no setting that gives me an option of practising without a timer, or one that removes timed exercise, so please change it back. This is supposed to be a learning experience, not a contest or an exercise in stress management.
I almost only use the Android app, as I'm usually sitting in bed or on a sofa, and I find the app to work just fine for me. But as I rarely use the web version, I don't know much about any differences in experience. But on my phone, my exercise sessions of previously learned stuff are now mandatorily timed. Until yesterday this never happened to me. I cannot see anything good in this, unless it's made optional. Until then, 10 points is all that I'm going to do in daily exercises. Moreover, the 60 second countdown has an annoying beeping sound the last 10 seconds, which 'freezes' my brain, so in reality it's only 50 seconds, as I can't think for the last 10. Learning new stuff is still nice and relaxing with no countdown. The previously learned stuff should be just as relaxing to go over, or else it will just be too much of a hassle.
