How come translating from Spanish to English will increase the Spanish web content??!!

As I understand that the main idea of Duolingo is to increase the web content of languages other than English, So translating an article for example from Spanish to English will increase the English language web content not the Spanish!! any explanation please?

I think DuoLingo exists to create more translated web content for the major languages of the internet, including English. I guess students who are doing courses for non-English speakers are the ones translating from English into their own available language.

Thank you IG88. But as I noticed during the translation practice in Duolingo that the output result of the translation will be an English articles other than the other languages articles which is contradiction the primary goal of Duolingo. So I think the translation practice should be from English to the other languages.

I think we're on the native English speakers version of the site. There are others for native speakers of other languages and when they do their translations they're translating from English into their language, Italian, Spanish, French, German or Portuguese. You just can't see that part because you're signed in as a native English speaker.

Thank you so much, I will try what you said and sign in as a native speaker of other language.
