How to delete a course: for another language interface

One day, I decided to go practice English in the Chinese interface. (Chinese is not an option for English speakers yet.) Later, I found that I wanted to un-enroll. But since English was the only language I was learning on that interface, I can't get rid of it. That leaves two options: stop my account (and maybe remove ALL my languages, even in the English interface) or leave it there. What can I do? Thank you!

You're not alone. We can't delete these unwanted course(s) because they are the only course you have for L1. (if that makes any sense). You can report the bug here.

Quick question: would deactivating my account in that interface deactivate my account in EVERY interface?

Just for my information, do the upvotes mean "good question" or "yes, it would?"

Sorry for not replying. The reason for that is I'm not quite sure what you are asking about "every interface" and "that interface. Could you elaborate? Thanks.

I am talking about removing my Chinese interface, where the setting language is in Chinese. I am worried that deactivating my account on the Chinese interface will also deactivate my English interface account. I could report a bug if deactivation is not an option. Hope this clears things up!

Yes, if you deactivate your account it deactivates it entirely, as if your account were deleted. You should still be able to log back in with your email and password, but the Chinese course would still be there. The only think we can do is ignore the extra courses for now unless and until the staff come up with a solution.

This is probably very late, but I was recently dealing with the same issue and I found a fix. Just set your progress in the language in the unwanted interface to 0, and switch back to your other languages in English - this should remove the other interface.

The unwanted course still shows up on your profile's language list, though, just fyi.
