Are new translations still being accepted?

I really spread out my work on the tree so that I did a chunk of it (maybe a 3rd) when it first came out, stopped, and came back recently to keep learning.

During my first "round" I made a number of submissions for additional translations that should be accepted for the exercises... and a lot of them went through, as I was notified by email each time.

Now, it is some months later and I know the duolingo team is very busy with their new Japanese release, but presumably not with the same people who handle Russian. I am still submitting corrections as I work my way through the exercises higher on the tree, but I notice that nothing is getting accepted.

As an example: Женский туалет Duolingo translation: ladies' room My answer (marked wrong): ladies washroom

It is a little frustrating when obviously correct answers get marked wrong. I am wondering whether Duolingo still has someone working to improve the Russian course?

The people who make the corrections are volunteers, not the Duolingo Team.

It can take months for suggestions to be accepted. It's normal. After more than two years I still get suggestions for French accepted.

Yeah, my early submissions were addressed as well, but I too have not seen any fixes in a long while. In fact, as I was practicing this morning, I stumbled across an issue I reported a year ago! (I know because I saw my comment about it on the discussion page.)

Hope the volunteers have time to get back to addressing the submissions soon!
