After finishing the language tree??

So I was wondering, After you finish a language tree how fluent are you in that language? Does finishing it make you fluent? Also how do you keep yourselves from forgetting what you learned?

In advance Thank you for taking your time out to answer my question.

Here I only learned the basic, structures and stuffs, I don't believe someone ever got fluent only using Duolingo, y'll always find links that will help you betters in specifically, like, I go to Anki and read practice to get more vocabulary, I go to Italki to develop my speak skills, do you get it?

The Japanese tree has very limited content. Even fully mastering it, you'll be a very long way from fluent. French has a lot more vocabulary, and French has a lot more common vocab than English. So if you master that tree, you'll be closer to fluent than you would be with Japanese.

Keep practicing. I did all the lessons in the GuaranĂ tree at level 10, but I didn't think I'd "finished" it in any meaningful sense until level 23. And there's still plenty I don't know.

For me fluency is the ability to speak with ease. Without having to search for words etc. Duolingo doesn't really teach you this, you have to practice speaking with real people. Duolingo does make you pretty good at reading in your target language though.

Go ahead. You will learn ! For me ,the leaderboard is more important than what is my level and what is my fluency percentage. It shows me level of motivation of fellows of my goal language in comparison to me.
