I can not listen to my listening exercises . I am not using the app and still getting the same results. I have this problem not only with my practice with Esperanto but with the rest of my practices with other languages.

Hi!

Have you turned off your mic in the Settings? If not, you can access settings by hovering over your username in the blue bar at the top of the screen (website). A menu will drop down. Select "Settings", turn off mic, and then click the green "Save" button.

I hope this helps!

Off. But, I think I misinterpreted your request for information. Many people have the problem that they are unable to use their mic, but are still being asked to do speaking exercises and so they are stuck.

Personally, I turned off my mic a long time ago. I just say everything out loud instead.

I assume you already did ... did you check your account settings in Duolingo? If the problem only occurs IN Duolingo, I would be looking for a Duolingo setting/problem. You said you have the same problem IN the app and ON the internet? I would try a friend's account on your machine? If their account works and yours does not, you may want to start over? I wish I had a brilliant thought for you ...

Did check the duo settings already. Uninstall the app long time ago because i didn't see any difference between the web and the app except that I got lots of viruses. Now you could see it is happening again because I think it is a virus controlling my cell. or else.. lol very sad what do you think it is?

I have a different problem. Sometimes the listening exercises make it hard to differentiate between "mi," "ni," "vi" and "li", for example, especially since you don't get context from the form of the verb like you would in many other languages.

When that happens I just say "skip" and take the hit against my score. On my phone I just turned off the listening exercises entirely so I wouldn't bother people around me. I figure I can get listening exercise by listening to Varsovio Vento or Muzaiko.
