Russian Handwriting - Marks above/below letters

Пожалуйста помогали бы вы мне с почерка 4 буквах: "т", "ш", "й", "ё" ?

I have looked at many pictures - and there is usually a short horizontal line above "Т" and below "Ш" - but not always - Am I right that these are optional and it just depends on style?

Also, there are the two dots above "ё" and the short mark above "й" - I can't find any examples without these markings - so does this mean that these marks always have to be there?

Большое спасибо!

Absolutely right. The only reason to use the underscore is when the letters in the word would otherwise be indistinguishable, like in the words "лишили", "шишка" or "получишь" or something like that, where it will look just like a collection of wavy lines :)

There are four different letters: Й, И, Ё, Е.

Olja, are you not a native Russian speaker? If you aren't, you write very well in Russian :o
