Are you also experiencing a decaying tree?

Since a week or so my tree seems to decay at a ridiculous rate. I used to have 3 or 4 subjects that needed strengthening, now I have more than 30. I keep practising the most difficult ones daily, only to return the next day to see that they have 'colored' again. It is very unmotivating to have to do the same exercises again and again.

I saw on the forums that for the German course this was linked to the introduction of the new website and that it was fixed recently. So I wonder if more of you who are learning Swedish are having the same problem.

I'm having this problem too, especially with my more completed trees. I believe they changed the algorithm fairly recently so now the trees decay at a ridiculous rate compared to what they used to. The only advice I have is to just ignore it and strengthen when you feel like doing so :/

It might be that you were just switched to the new algorithm, which assumes faster forgetting rate. If you're sure that you know the skills that keep "weakening" and don't make any mistakes, disregard the algorithm and work at your own rate. Otherwise the best approach is not to try to strengthen many skills at once (keep working at your usual rate in terms of XP per day), work on the skills furthest from the "root" first, and do not use hints unless absolutely necessary.

I haven't particularly noticed it, but I may just be at the point where I have saturated the Swedish tree (looking forward to the 2.0 tree!)

Yes, Swedish Tree 2.0 :). We all wait for it. Seems to take a while because they have a small team :/. We need to motivate them :)

I personally have not noticed any change... perhaps because I take some time on the weekend to backward review the entire tree, looking specifically at word articles grammar and anything else of importance that i might have overlooked while doing the exercises and learning during the week. So, my point is if you just review everything once per week... chances of having 30 trees flashing on you diminish significantly :D

So you suggest I should practice less to keep the tree longer golden? LOL

no, just the opposite... practice more :D

I have exactly the opposite problem; none of my subjects have decayed at all for at least 2 weeks - everything is just staying gold.

För mig är det lite frustrerande. Jag kan inte träna så mycket i helgen, så en måndag som idag hade jag 16 färdigheter (skills??) jag behövde förstärka (öva?)!!

I am having the same experience with my Spanish Tree. I finished it two weeks ago and since then the decaying rate is appalling. Also I have the impression that it was more easier to strength the skills before when two or more were commonly reinforced with the same practice.
