Just another complaint about Health

Submitted this as a bug ticket and just to add some noise aboiut the matter decided to post here as well.

This is just to exress my deep disappointment of Health feature.

I can not ever imagine what company conversations let to this feature. Maybe there were some spies that infiltrated your office and persuaded your management so they kill the service?

I am a professional software engineer with UI/UX knowledge and having lesson stopped in the middle due to just five errors, while some tasks are designed to be erroneous, to take you through trial and error, is a great lose of drive to use the program.

In shareware, you are getting some nag screen to annoy you while you using the program so it motivates you to pay. You have far more annoying thing: you pay, but you get nag again!

Normally you ask people to stay longer with your product, you tell them "close the app for 24 hours before you can use it again" (as the health re-generates in one day). And you can lose it so easily. I understand your interest in leading people to pay money for the program, but if we consider a need to restore health 3 times a day, it is already $6, and it will make few hundreds in a month.

I live in not the cheapest place, but we'd pay 100-300 eur for very good live course (semester) with a teacher that is catering to your needs. You are just an app that does not replace a live teacher. You can not cost the same.

My suggestion - roll this back. Now. You will lose your fanbase and your competitors will take your entire fanbase simply by offering a little bit more reasonable terms.

I would say, many sites charge 10-15$ month for online education and this amount will be fine for the most. But you only offering that single purchases at a high cost.

Get rid of it or you may as well go bankrupt.

A feature on duolingo (IOS) mobile. You get five health points, and each time you get a question wrong while learning a new lesson, you lose one health point. If you lose all five, you aren't allowed to do new lessons anymore until you get a point back (and if you lose them all while in a lesson, it stops your lesson.) You can either pay to get them all back at once, wait a couple hours for one of them to regenerate, or get one health bar back for each practice lesson you do.
