Congratulations Germany.

Just wanted to congratulate the German people for marriage equality. Steps like this motivate learners of German, motivate us to learn a language spoken by the free equal world. I hope to see my country Syria doing the same one day. Never stop learning.

Don't think Syria is anywhere close to that, but I wish them the best ;)

I said someday. Nobody living in 1945 would believe how much Germany has changed in 70 years. We can do it too.

Probalbly because it could be considered "political", but here's wishing you the best!

I don't think celebrating human rights victories around the world is political. I am certain most of Duolingo's community welcome anything that makes the world a fairer, more equal place.
