Ugh, I totally missed that it posted the wrong one. Always proofread. Does make the point about all the synonyms in Japanese, though, and why kanji are so important to reading it properly.
That said, that kanji is perfectly valid and used, what you posted is an alternate and now more common one - per the reforms.
Really? All the previous replies I make in kanji were marked as wrong, and when I finally answer in Hiragana, I'm marked wrong and the correct answer is kanji?「さんじゅうにさいです。」と「三十二歳です。」は同じでしょうね?! This is so frustrating!
