Is this an error in the Japanese course? About 中...

For the character 中 it showed the pronunciation as ちゆう even though the audio pronunciation was naka. This happened both in the intro pronunciation box and the choose a pair exercise.

I'm completely new to Japanese, so I don't know if ちゆう has an alternate pronunciation.

If this is an error, I wasn't sure how to report it as far as explaining the problem.

So is this an error, and how should I word the report if it is?

See this from 2 days ago, where an answer to a question about the same character has been posted: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/23300445

That character, like most other Kanji, has multiple readings. "Naka" is the native Japanese reading and "ちゅう" is the reading borrowed from China.

Since this post is about Japanese, could you move it to the Japanese forum? More of the people who are interested in Japanese will see it there, and it will help keep this forum easy to navigate for those who aren't currently studying Japanese.

Don't delete it and create a new one, just click edit, and change the topic from Duolingo to Japanese. Here's a guide on how to move a post: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/16609773.

Thanks :)

I can move it back since I have an answer now. I originally had it in the Japanese forum but no one was answering. I know more people who may not even be taking the Japanese course, but may know the answer would see it in the main forum. And I did get a faster response when I moved it.

Edit: tried to move it, but not seeing Japanese in the list. Could be because I'm on a tablet, but i see that it shows up on the list when starting a new post.
