Changes in Duolingo

I've been gone for... a while. A couple years ago, maybe two years ago, I don't remember exactly, I used Duolingo all the time, and had a 100+ day streak (which isn't all that much compared to some you see around, but it was still something). I haven't used the site as much recently, but I just logged back on, and... a lot is missing? I'm not sure I like it at all. Stories is cool, so is Labs, but... the activity stream is gone? My friends (the page where I can see them) is gone? You can't comment on people's profiles anymore??? I miss the old, more social Duolingo, and the connections I made with people back then. I doubt anyone really remembers me, but it was a great place for me at the time, and it was wonderful!

Anyway, just a bit of nostalgia from a Duolingo hipster. (I got this username before Duolingo was cool.)

Edit: Immersion is also gone? Huh. That's... unexpected.
