The English translation is grammatically wrong. It should be.. i learn with him.
The English should be: "I study with him." That's the standard way of saying it. "I learn with him" is possible in some contexts and should be accepted as correct, but not used as the default.
I agree on this one... I somewhat feel it than in the sentence "I learn with him" is missing that what is being learned :D Like: I learn to do smth with smbd... "I study with him" should be accepted as correct.
