Sleep on it
So, in English we have the idiom "sleep on it", typically used to mean "go to bed and deal with it in the morning" when somebody is bothered by something. I was trying to say this in Danish and couldn't quite decide between "Sov om det" and "Sov på det." So which of these would I use (if either) and is there an actual equivalent expression in Danish?
"at sove på det" is an actual Danish expression with the same meaning as the English "to sleep on it".
She says the metaphor wouldn't necessarily be understood. They would probably say something more literal. I figure you could say Sov på det and explain it if its not understood. Maybe it will catch on :p
