Maendeleo is a plural-only word, and comes from -endelea (“(to) go on”), from Proto-Bantu *-gènda ("to walk, to go; to travel").

What is wrong with with, "The people like progress." ? I suspected that it would not be accepted, so I did the experiment of putting it in to elicit some explanation.

Nothing is wrong with it, it just hasn't been added yet. Next time report it so they know they are missing a translation.

      How do I report it? I'm a new-boy.

You remember where the "discuss sentence" button was after you translated the sentence? Look at the button next to it. It should say "report a problem". When you click on it you get several options come up helping you specify the nature of the problem.

If the question was marked wrong, but you are fairly certain it is correct, select "my answer should be accepted" (or words to that effect), then hit "submit".

Mimi ni watu. Watu ni mimi. Tunapenda maendeleo

Wow, i really needed to know how to say that at that stage of learning ...
