Throughout this unit "covor" is translated as "carpet." "Rug" would be a better translation since "covor" in Romania is usually a Persian rug (covor persan) or something very similar to it.

"Mochetă" is what I would use for "carpet," which usually covers the entire floor in a room and is affixed to the floor, at least in North America.
