How would one say this in Esperanto? What's the equivalent of this saying?

It might be possible to search the Proverbaro for something similar - or ask people who speak other languages whether they know a similar expression, when in doubt, you can always express the idea without using an old saying. Something like:

Provu vidi la aferon de mia vidpunkto.

I did a quick look through the Proverbaro and couldn't find anything that looked like a match. I was hopeful because this is very similar to a saying by Hillel (A Jewish philosopher from about the time of Christ): "Do not judge your fellow man until you stand in his place.". Zamenhof was very familiar with Hillel and most likely knew of this quote, but since the Proverbaro is an Esperantization of an existing work, if it wasn't in the original, it wouldn't be in the translation.
