Finished my first tree!
I've been studying French for the longest and I've finished the French tree which is the first tree I've completed (so far)!
(I am still only 45% fluent and level 12 so it looks like i have some things to go back to and catch up on... but still!)
Very happy :) Hopefully I'll finish my Italian one next perhaps. Any of you close to finishing a tree?
Congrats! I am busy making my way through my German tree (it's very long!)
Thanks! I hope it's going well. I tried German but I was too confused between German and Dutch!
Félicitations ! Bonne travaille. J'ai fini mon arbre de français depuis longtemps. Maintenant, il est le fois pour toi á ameloire ton français et devenir fluide en français. Bonne chance!
Merci beaucoup! Et félicitations à toi aussi. Tu apprends quelle langue en ce moment??
I am happy for you that you were able to fight through the full tree.
Are you doing in parallel the Memrise-DuoLingo course?
How is the quality for the Duo French course?
EN-FR or DE-FR?
How would you compare the Duo French course to Italian?
Which one do you like more?
If you have made more progress with your Portuguese tree (e.g in about 3-6 months), I would be more than happy to hear some news from you how you would then compare the quality of that Duo PT course - which I am taking currently - with your already finished FR course ;)
Wish you all the best for your next intermediate/advanced language French steps ;)
Thanks very much! I'm not using Memrise, in fact I've never tried it. Is it worth it? EN-FR. The French course is as good as the Italian one, I'd say. I don't see many differences to be honest. And in terms of languages, Italian is my ultimate favourite language ever, but French closely follows it (unless I start to like Portuguese even more!). Sure, I hope to make progress in Portuguese because it's a lovely language and country! It's a shame that there is only Brazilian Portuguese on Duolingo (and not European), but I suppose there aren't too many differences anyway. :) How are you finding it?
Honestly, quite hard as my first Romance language.
Definitely not as easy as this language homepage wants to demonstrate it to me with only one heart: http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/e/languages/similarities/index.html
I guess the whole "learning thing" needs to settle down for me somehow...
You know what?
My quick Digital Publishing French cd software test was not going easier than PT ;)
Here are some excerpts of my struggeling (with further links): https://www.duolingo.com/comment/20450828/What-to-change-optimize-in-my-Portuguese-learning-process-Shall-I-switch-to-Spanish
Be warned...it got quite long....nothing you want to start reading in the middle of the night or in one single session :-) :-)
I wrote a longer article about how I use Memrise - in native German language:
The max power relies in using working user scripts; functionality which got unfortunately lost on Duo with the new portal and Scala code migration):-)
Ask Casper_Duo. He knows what I am talking about (he got also active on community.memrise.com) ;)
I know I had about 2-3 started special vocabulary/Memrise threads, but probably not all of them are linked herein (e.g "How to review vocabulary of unfished Memrise levels or unfinished DuoLingo skills with part-finished lessons).
I will look at those links & probably will try Memrise when I have more time.
How long have you been learning Portuguese? It seems like a difficult one especially when you don't know other romance languages, but it's a beautiful language, isn't it?
i just started doing Dutch and French and Italian i am on level 1 so it does not show up on here :(
congraattss, i'm doing turkish and i'm still not close to finishing the tree:( just wanted to ask you, where can i check my fluency percentage?
You'll finish the tree before you know it :) Most important thing is that you're making progress. And for the fluency percentage, click 'Home' and there it is on the right-hand side. That's if you're on a PC, and if you're on the mobile app then I'm not sure
Congrats!I'm so happy for you too! I am studying French too.https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=congratulations+songs+for+kids=detail=8449BAC1EB20F9E951378449BAC1EB20F9E95137=VIRE
