Well, the title says it all, really. One year ago today I started using Duolingo. As you can see, I've had a streak freeze help me out a couple times, but I've been practicing almost every day in all that time. I started off using Duolingo to learn Esperanto with a friend, but I enjoyed the platform so much that I started using it to practice other languages as well. It's been a pretty long year and I've learned so much.

There've been long stretches of time where I lost interest or was just too busy to do much more than my 10 daily XP. There were other long stretches of time where I was working quickly, keeping everything gold and plowing through trees like nobody's business.

This next year, I want to continue practicing the languages I'm studying now, and I might add a new one at some point, or I might just do some reverse trees/ladders with the languages I'm already familiar with.

It's been a great journey and I hope next year is just as productive as this one was! Thanks Duolingo!

Happy Year Anniversary with DuoLingo! I find my stretches are as varied as yours. Sometimes I earn hundreds of XP in a day, other times I merely meet my daily goal. I think allowing oneself that flexibility prevents burn-out.

Congrats! You're really unique that you managed to keep up a streak like that as a beginner of the website - I don't think I could do that!
