is there any sign of this language package is coming up soon? or is it too hard because of the writing?

I tried to go from Arabic to English. But damn, I don't even know if that is possible

There is no sign of Arabic coming soon or at all and it has nothing to do with the writing :/

You can't do an Arabic course as a beginner because you would have to already know the alphabet and a bit about how the language works. However, once you learn the basics, Duolingo can help you learn Arabic. I am doing the Arabic to French course and I'm really enjoying it. I would recommend once you are ready, doing the Arabic to German course so that the English stuff doesn't waste your time.

Before you can do that, you have to learn the alphabet. Memrise is great for that and terrible for everything else. You should do the alphabet and basic words to familiarize yourself on Memrise and listen to a lot of Arabic audio to get used to the sounds and take some basic free lessons on youtube. Youtube has tons of great stuff for beginner Arabic and then - virtually nothing for intermediate and advanced. Intermediate and lower advanced is where Duolingo Arabic to German (or English if you prefer) comes in. good luck.

Another thing, if you are serious about learning Arabic and can afford to pay the monthly fee, I recommend talkinarabic.com. It focuses on real spoken Arabic rather than classical / modern formal Arabic, which is all you will find on resources like Duolingo.
