Yes, my wife said to think of usui as a measure of density. So it can also refer to someone's hair loss as their hair thinning out. Where as an individual hair being described as thin would be hosoi.

I'm not sure if "lightweight" and "thin" are exactly synonyms here... but you could always report it and see whether it gets accepted.
