Russian Words List

Hey guys! So I've been taking on German and Russian at the same time. The German lessons come much easier to me but I have a harder time with the Russian. I noticed that the German page has an option where I can view all the words I've learnt until now, but the Russian doesn't. Does anyone have any information on when it might be released. That, or does anyone actually have access to a list that contains all the Russian vocabulary covered by Duolingo? Thanks in advance!

A slightly more accessible version of FieryCat's method: go to the Discussion tab for German. Open another tab and switch language to Russian. Go back to tab with German and click on Words. Should work even on a smart phone, although you've got to get to the full browser version.

Also, you can do this:

  1. Switch to the russian course.
  2. Go to this link: https://www.duolingo.com/courses.
  3. Execute the following code in the browser console: duo.vocab_languages.push("ru"); duo.vocabRouter.listVocab();

And you will get this:

Thanks for that valuable post. Could it be that duolingo is slipping in more words in the exercises after one finished all lessons? I have 3105 Words in my list...

I've got 3338. I presume it is because different forms (conjugations, declensions) of words appear separately in the Words list, but to progress through the lessons you need only have seen one form. As you do more review, you can come across sentences that happen to contain a conjugation / declension form you haven't yet encountered.

Since the change to the forums and to crowns, this bit of code no longer works. I loved it! A fantastic vocabulary list plus a hover over brought up all the English alternate translations.

Any thoughts how we can get this same information using the new system?

In step 2 try just to go here: https://www.duolingo.com/courses instead of using a page of the forum.

Yes! Thank you so much! I usually keep this open in a separate tab. It helps tremendously.

SIgh. It appears this has been prevented once again. Any other thoughts?

I have no thoughts. They have removed the old code almost everywhere. The places, where the old code still present, will not help you. Sorry.

Out of curiosity, what do you actually use the Words tab for? I've not figured out much practical use for it.

Unfortunately there is no Words tab in the Russian course. I used the list to search for words when I wasn't sure of spelling or case. Since there is no longer a vocabulary list per lesson I also used it to make my little pronunciation videos.

But that very strange word-around, gets around the problem and I can once again see the words list. Thank you piguy3

And it now appears the "switch course, click WORDS, duplicate tab" method has also been blocked, at least on Chrome. I don't think it ever worked on Edge or even IE. I love the word / strength page. Anybody else had success as of July 28/2018?

Try opening a tab showing a course that supports word list (like german), open another one and switch to russian; then return to the first tab and click the vocabulary option, that works for me.
