Words (word list) exists with one language but not another
I am currently trying to learn some Dutch. One of the things I noticed is that I do not have a word list there, although I do have it when I have selected French. Is it because of the level? How can I make the list appear for Dutch?
There is no words list for a lot of the newer courses. It is mainly the original 5 languages that have a word list.
There is a workaround. https://www.duolingo.com/comment/15910996/Dutch-words-tab-exists
One change owing to the new website implementation: you need to be on either the Words or Discussion tab in the language that has a Words tab. The easiest is to be on Discussion and then just switch to Words after changing the language in the other tab.
This is great, thanks! Though it will be great if the developers actually made it work without making use of "bugs".
Honestly, I have no idea of what concrete use the Words tab is. It gives you a count of how many words + conjugation / declension forms you've come across, a figure of no particular significance and zero practical value. It's obviously buggy for the languages where it is available. I have to suspect it's never been extended at least in part because it would likely be even more buggy for other languages since the language courses where it's available were built on a different platform.
