Advertising Taking TOO Long

I get it, it's necessary to show ads. I'm not complaining about that. I'm just wondering why the text and the ad image can't load together to speed up the ad process - it takes too long to load on a bad connection making the thing almost unusable (timeouts etc).

App ads run a fine line between being acceptable and obtrusive and the way it has recently been updated to only makes me never want to purchase from any of the ad companies presented out of spite.

I know where you are and I think adds are stupid.

Hmm.. interesting. I've never experienced what you are saying. Now that I think about it, it's been a while since I've seen an add - and they only appeared after the lesson was finished, never during the lesson.

No, they're after the lesson still, but now instead of just showing up all at once, the header fades in, then the ad, then the X. You can't exit to another lesson for ~10 seconds which really ruins the flow of learning.

Is there anyway to get a better connection?

In the website there is an add in the home page now!

trick: disable the automatic upgrades and don't upgrade the app, I don't see any adds because I have an older version :)

Edit: I think it has more to do with the cookies of the browser, I clean all in the browser of the phone every time I use it.

The problem with that is that will not see any new courses added to the app which could be a problem if one of the courses is one you are waiting for.

Yes, but you can review the discussions from time to time, if you are a heavy user of the phone. (I only use the phone for japanese).

Regarding the ads, I think that it is the cookies and history of the browser, not the version of the app, I am not sure now.
