Yeah it's the shortest course now by number of skills, lessons, and words. Japanese had 40 skills and 185 lessons. Not sure how many words it had though. Wonder when we'll get a course longer than Norwegian and German. Norwegian has 522 lessons according to here: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/15897047 and German has 119 skills according to this: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/15894064
What the Esperanto course lacks in quantity is quality. All of the aspects of grammar are taught in a short number of skills and you are also given a load of vocabulary too. I'd say the eo course takes you further into the language the any of the other courses I've seen, despite being so short. Though they should upgrade the tree by adding more vocabulary in skills that relate them to each other (eg. a school skill, complex body, more verbs, etc.).
Yeah I know! The Esperanto course is probably my favourite out of all the courses so far! I'm volunteering as an alpha tester now on the Czech course and it's probably one of the bigger ones - not sure how many lessons, but it's got about 95 skills and on 2000 words so it looks to be a good course! Looking forward to it!
That's awesome! I'm definitely going to do it because I had family that lived in what was Czechoslovakia, and I thought the language would be great to learn. I've also dabbled in Polish so I know how a lot of the basics work. I want to try and complete that one and it'll be one of my main focuses along with Hungarian when it comes out.
