"We go swimming."
Translation:Wir gehen schwimmen.
I would also like to know this. I'm sure it was 'einkaufen gehen' in a previous exercise.
Can someone tell me why the sentence is not "wir gehen zu schwimmen" ?
There are a few cases like "schwimmen gehen" (other example "fussball spielen gehen"). Even when they use two verbs, they are somehow connected and just describe one activity. The activity is that you go to the place where you can swim and then start swimming there.
In order to utilize "zu", you might write this sentence: "Wir haben keine Lust, schwimmen zu gehen."
