Japanese with Japanese subtitles?

Hmm... I'll take a look.

EDIT: I HAVE FOUND SOME!

https://animelon.com/ [Anime with Japanese subtitles]

There are movies on netflix in Japanese with Japanese subtitles...

and these are only two of the legit things I can find. It's not worth going into the illegal side of things, trust me xD

P.S.: Watch some YouTube videos in Japanese. That helps as well.

If you are comfortable handling external subtitle files, then kitsuneko.net has a large collection of more popular series, and d-addicts.com does the same for dramas. Note that these are only subtitles, not video files.

As far as I know, most things don't even usually have Japanese subtitles in Japan, so even when space on a disk is no longer a concern, they just aren't there. Even when they are, they aren't usually exact. Closed captions are available on T.V. there, especially when dialects are a concern, but aside from that, only Vocaloid producers seem to consistently sub anything. Some streaming services seem to be adding some though, at least, Bandai Channel seems to have the option.

You should use 9anime.to! It has basically any anime you can think of with English subtitles, and the vast majority of them are in HD!
