Deleting English from the Achievements panel

I’m learning Italian, Spanish, French, German & Portuguese for English speakers.

For some reason English is also listed at the bottom of the Achievements panel, although it’s not listed in the dropdown Learning menu. Neither is it listed under Settings > Learning Language > Reset or remove languages.

How do I remove English from the Achievements panel?

I don't know how to get rid of it (I'm unfortunately haunted by the same thing) but I do know why it would be there. At one point, you probably opened an English course from another language, and although you can reset the English course, it is impossible to remove it as, quite commonly it is the only course you have started from that base language.

One way you could possibly get rid of it is, if it is a base language which has multiple courses, is to start a course for a language you are learning from English, don't do any lessons in it, then go and delete your English course as you would delete any other course. Because the course you now have 0 XP in is now a language that you are already studying from English, the extra entry won't show up on your profile. Unfortunately I'm not lucky enough to do this as my base language for my English 0 XP is Japanese...

Thank you for taking the time to suggest a solution. Unfortunately, it's a bit beyond my understanding.

OK - I might try and break it down a bit. First step: have you ever started an English course from another language but not done any lessons? Do you know what language the English course comes from?

Thanks. I may have done so from Spanish. I have already tried switching to Spanish as the Learning Language. I may also have sampled the Duolingo English Test for someone.
