Saved Tinycards decks have disappeared

I created 4 or 5 Tinycards decks over the last couple of weeks, but when I logged in today they had all disappeared. Where they were before, it now says 'This user has no decks.'. I didn't delete them, so what happened? I had important stuff for my writing stored there, and it would be a real pain to have lost it. Is there anything I can do to get the decks back?

I just copied this information from the "help" section on Tinycards:

"How do I report a card in a deck?

On Tinycards, you can report errors and inappropriate content on specific cards by visiting the deck, selecting the "cards" tab, and the exclamation point. Depending on the reporting pattern, the author of the deck should receive a report and be encouraged to update incorrect information. Inappropriate cards will be subject to review and taken down without notice. Decks and accounts can also be taken down without notice if reports are deemed valid."

It seems the only way your decks could've been removed if they were reported for inappropriate or incorrect content.

Thanks! I don't know why they would have been removed, as nothing in them was rude or anything. Nothing that was even particularly 'adult'. And given that it was about my own writing, I'm not sure how anyone else could tell whether they were correct or incorrect. I'll try reporting an error though. Thanks for the info!

I'm not sure if you've been able to recover your flashcard decks, but now that I look at your answer again it gives a clue as to why your decks may have been removed. You seem to indicate that you made the decks mostly for your own use and that "it was about my own writing." Tinycards is meant to be a community service and so if you make one or more flashcard decks, you should do so with the interest of others in mind. So in other words, the flashcard decks which you create on Tinycards should provide information that is meant to be shared with other users and which they can use to further their own learning. Tinycards is not meant to be used to make flashcard decks purely for your own use.

I have had the same thing happen with sets of cards I made. I initially saved them as "private" with the intention of publishing them to the community when they reached a certain size. (This is an option Tinycards offers, so it would be disingenuous of them to create an option that would in fact eliminate the set.) I have made two or three attempts to create a deck and they have all disappeared. They were about geography, so there was nothing inappropriate.

Ah okay, that explains why some of them were removed. Not all of them, as one or two were for others' use and for educational purposes. But that does clear it up a bit. Thanks for the info! Do you know of any sites similar to Tinycards that do allow personal use decks? It would be really helpful for me. No worries if not.
